DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
There is no need for a doctors referral, we can except self referrals. however if you feel it would be helpful to get a referral letter by all means bring this to your first appointment or you can send a copy to us electronically if your are accessing our online service and we will incorporate this information into our assessment records.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AS A PATIENT USING YOUR SERVICE?
Whether you are using our face to face or online service you will be sent an email confirming your appointment and the relevant contact details and What To Expect information as follows:
Allow 45 minutes for your initial assessment and 30 minutes for follow-ups.
Wear comfortable clothing that reveals the part of your body to be assessed, so for example; wear a vest top if you have a shoulder or neck problem or shorts if you have a knee problem.
We will take a detailed history regarding your current problem and any past medical illnesses or injuries, including any medication you may be taking, so it is helpful if you have this to hand.
You will be asked to perform various movements and activities to aid in the diagnosis of your problem.
We will discuss your diagnosis with you and plan your rehabilitation program to help you achieve your functional goals .
You will be sent appropriate information leaflets and a tailored exercise program following your assessment.
